Meghan's Surgery

Meghan went in for phase II of her cleft lip repair. Dr. Morales is her surgeon. We checked into Primary Children's Medical Center on Monday, December 22nd at about 11 am. Meg was being so brave. We tried our hardest to prepair her for what would happen, and surprisingly she seemed a lot less anxious that we expected. Here are some before and after photos. The procedure went awesome! Recovery has been fast, but a bit painful. In this procedure they had to make an incision in her left hip to chip a peice of bone and extract some bone marrow. Then, they repaired the bone in her gumline and injected the marrow inside the bone graft. We feel so blessed. Meghan is so brave and amazing. We love her more than words can say.

Scrooge...Bah Humbug!!

I am the Make-up Coordinator this year for "The Gospel according to Scrooge" play. It ran from Dec 5-14th. It was a blast. I had 4 people I made up before each performance, including: Scrooge, Marly, the Blue Angel and, the Ghost of Christmas Present....and also had to train and approve all the other artists make-up. What an amazing time. It was great getting to know the ladies from church a little better, and so great to be a part of a public outreach. I tihnk this play touched a lot of lives. Not everyone realizes that through our Savior Jesus Christ, we always have a second chance!

Winter Finally Arrived!

We had one snow in October, and then finally this weekend, the skies let loose of all the fun white stuff. It seems my kids must forget how fun the snow is ~ because every year its like the first time they have seen it. They play outside until they are little popcicles..and then run inside and cry while their hands and feet defrost! We love winter! This is the first Winter for Guy and Woody ( now 8 months old) and they seem to love it too!

Twin Boys!!

Here are the newest additions to our family. We just went and picked them up yesterday. They are 5 month old English Mastiff's in Brindle. We named them Guy and Woody. They are so fun, playful, and strong. Meghan and Josh are in love with them already!

10 Years and going strong!

Josh and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary by taking a trip to Idaho with the motorcycle. We drove through the canyons, and it was absolutely gorgeous. I wouldnt cchange a thing in our last 10 years....Here is to 10 more!

Antelope Island 09/08

We got up early in the morning on 09/20/08 and headed to Antelope Island for a hot air balloon festival. The kids were so excited, as Meg had been learning about hot air balloons at school. Well, it was VERY windy that morning, so the balloons never took off :( We Decided to take a little hike down to the shore of the great Salt Lake, and ended up getting some amazing photos. God has given us such beauty in this world, and this little trip to the lake made me realize how much of that I take for granted.

Meghan's 1st Day of School 2008

Meghan started the First grade on Monday. She was so excited. I got her ready in the morning,insisting that she let me blow dry her hair....she wasn't to enthused about that. Once she had her shoes on, she suddenly opened the front door and said, "bye Mom".....woah woah.. I told her I was walking her to school and she rolled her eyes at me and said she could walk herself to school. My heart broke, and the tears started. I asked her, "are you that independant?"..and she rolled her eyes again and said "YES"!...Duh mom! So, I did the only thing I could, I drove behind her down our street at 1 MPH like a stalker or child napper. She just kept looking back and smiling, her eyes all aglow and her back pack bouncing. I was completely devistated. Once she arrived, she let me walk her in and kiss her goodbye ( I guess I should be thankful for that) Walking out of the school, the bell rang, and the tears came again! I cried all the way to work and then a few more times throughout the day. She is so grown up and so much like me, that I am not quite sure what to make of it all.

Meghan Turns 6

Josh's sister Liz went to Disneyland with us. I am not sure that I would call it "The Happiest Place on Earth"...but it was a fun experience for the kids, and I am sure Liz LOVED it!

Meghan was so overwhelmed and nervous to meet all the Disney Princess', and Josh was trying to bust a move on them...the charm this boy has with the ladies is amazing!

This is where I grew up. It was our first stop on the way to spend a week with Norm and Kathy. We had a great time..stopping at just about every beach along the way..

Are you there Tooth Fairy???

Meghan Lost her very first tooth on June 14th, while our neighbors were over. She was not too excite when I helped her rip it out...but was so elated when the the tooth fairy left her a whole $1! woo hoo

Christmas 2007

Christmas finally arrived. Meghan and Squash could not wait to see what Santa would bring! Meghan got her pink Nintendo, and Squash got "Cars" (Disney) memorabilia (as well as a million other things) Grandma Cathy stayed the night so she could enjoy the excitement of gift opening on Christmas morning. We have had a truly blessed year. We spent our holiday break with family and friends. Who could ask for anything more?

Christmas Program ALAG 2007

Meg starred as an angel in our church Christmas program. She had no speaking part, but did a great job also as the "H" in Christmas! My friend and neighbor Stef came over and curled her hair for the event. Chuck and Bonnie (Jodi's parents) Jodi, Stef, and Daddy all attended. It was a great way to ring in the holiday season.
